Preparation for Tomorrow @ Saint Luke's

Tomorrow is the Sunday after Ascension Day, and therefore the day is part of Ascensiontide - the ten days from the Ascension of Jesus through the Saturday before Whitsunday (a.k.a. Pentecost).

At the 10:00 a.m. Mass we will be bringing a child into the congregation of Christ's flock - Isabella Ramales Young, daughter of Gracille and Alex Young of Parrish, Florida will receive the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, and we ask your prayers for both Isabella and her family.

THEY brought young children to Christ, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
- Mark 10:13ff

Also, for personal preparation for the day's worship, please read the mass propers ahead of time, and ask yourself the following questions in reference to the readings...

- what does the Comforter mean to me?
- am I fulfilling the mandate of the ninth verse of the epistle? That is, how's my hospitality (or how's my grumpiness)?
- Do I believe Jesus' warning in verses two and three of the gospel reading?
